Aside from promoting snowmobiling, Shawnee Sno-chiefs are dedicated to fostering good community relations and service. A notable example is our assistance during the Snovember Storm of 2014.  The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs provided much-needed support to local residents during the storm.  The "Snovember Storm", also known as the November 2014 North American winter storm, occurred from November 13 to November 21 in 2014.  It was a particularly severe lake-effect snowstorm that greatly affected Western New York, including the towns in and around the Buffalo and Niagara areas.  Some areas received up to 7 feet of snow, resulting in significant disruptions and a major response from emergency services. 

Other notable community efforts include:

1. Assistance during emergencies: The club has been instrumental during snowstorms, such as the Snovember Storm. They provide support to local residents, ensuring their safety and comfort during these events.
2. Snowmobile Safety Classes: Safety is paramount within the community. We organize classes aimed at educating both new and experienced snowmobilers on safe riding practices.
3. Landowner Dinner: This annual event is a way to thank landowners who allow trails to run through their property. It fosters good relationships and ensures the maintenance of the trail network.
4. Trail Maintenance: Maintaining and grooming trails is a continuous effort. Club members volunteer their time to ensure the trails are in top condition for all riders.
