Aside from promoting snowmobiling, Shawnee Sno-chiefs are dedicated to fostering good community relations and service. A notable example is our assistance during the Snovember Storm of 2014. The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs provided much-needed support to local residents during the storm. The "Snovember Storm", also known as the November 2014 North American winter storm, occurred from November 13 to November 21 in 2014. It was a particularly severe lake-effect snowstorm that greatly affected Western New York, including the towns in and around the Buffalo and Niagara areas. Some areas received up to 7 feet of snow, resulting in significant disruptions and a major response from emergency services.
